To All. Thank you for the input. I am going to try the repair route, but I am almost positive that the windings are bad due to years of just using the 3/8 drill instead of getting out the 1/2" drill for the job at hand. But, I am still going to check out the flea markets, swap meets and E-bay for an American made drill. Thanks again to all for the help. Jim
