The lack of paint won’t cause premature wear, that comes from wrong assembly or poor fitting of parts. You won‘t loose oil through the case, painting just allows oil and fine metalic particulate’s to flow cleanly to the bottom of the case and settle. You should have a magnetic drain plug to pick up any iron particles. There is a reason why it was painted to start with. it’s just a finesse thing. Do or don’t.
