Check the steering shaft to box connection. on my 90 I had an aftermarket Borgensten (can't spell) shaft (which I recommend) and the roll pin was missing. I dought this is your problem though if it is more noticeable on one side. also I remember being told that dodge steering boxes weren't centered, meaning it would be more turns in one direction than the other to each steering lock. if that is the case you would have more play when the wheels are straight, Normally the steering is tightest when the wheels are straight and the steering box is centered. If this is something you just noticed it may be something more distourous. let us know what you find. By the way I don't think a 440s weight makes any difference. hang a snowplow off it with a 440.
