OK, I'll say it, they are junk. The T-5 will not keep syncros or bearings, too many lightweight aluminum inner parts, not suitable for medium to heavy vehicles (¼ ton and up). Can't keep second gear syncros in it. It works great in light wt. cars like Mustangs etc. You are way better off putting in a Dodge NV3500. The CJ-7 in stock form is underpowered and very light and the T-5 still doesn't hold up. I've fought this tranny for 16 years and if I could afford a NV4500 the T-5 would be history!
