Depends on what type of PW you have in mind. Assuming you are talking about the WDX/WM300 trucks, on the WDX (and perhaps later trucks too, but I haven't checked out later trucks) the two front lower tubular shock mounts attach differently on each side; they are not identical. The driver side lower mount is integral with (part of) the spring plate. An extra front driver side spring plate could be reversed and used on the rear right (passenger) side if the rear shocks are installed behind the rear axle. But the front passenger side lower shock mount is integral (part of) to the front axle housing, not the spring plate, so you cannot remove it. You would have to add a shock mounting to the passenger side spring plate before using it on the rear left (driver) side. Your idea is good, just not as simple to accomplish as you first thought. It might be easier to fabricate new rear spring plates with integral shock mounts.
