I put a V2 factory compressor on my truck last winter. It pumps from 0-150 psi in 1 minute. The most important thing is to block off an oil passage hole that is in the block. If it isn't plugged, you will suck out all of the sump oil (which it was designed for in air-conditioning system). It is a small hole on the left side of the block under the head. I had a junk V2 I took apart to find it, and used jb weld to push into the hole. The pully side of the pump is the output, and the back is the input. There is a spring valve in the input tube to be taken out. I used a small engine air cleaner, made a top and bottom plate out of 16 guage, drilled a 1/2" hole in one side and wire welded it to the input tube. On the output I cut the original air conditioning hose before it went to rubber and used a 1/2" compression brass coupling to go to 1/2" soft copper tube. Then goes to a 7 gallon tank mounted under the bed and uses a regular universal pressure switch made for air compressors. I put a relief valve in the tank, with a drain valve for water. I used a 150 psi pop off valve and set the switch to 140 psi. I put a push/pull switch in the cab with a pilot light and wired that to the clutch wire on the pump, and to the pressure switch(for the light)so I know if the pump is running. Works great.
