I made one very cheap. About $40

I used two 16 foot 4X4's. (Your length to suit.) They anchor by 90 degree angle iron brackets through the holes on the bumper. Bevel the upper 4X4 edges so they mate flat when placed together at the top end. Thru bolt it.

Drill through the split of the two 4X4's and attach a large eye bolt with a stiffener plate behind it. I used a very heavy tow strap from the eye bolt over the truck to the rear trailer hitch to hold the assembly up.

Drill a straight hole through both beams below the vee to pass a 1" steel rod through it for the pulley to attach to. I use an antique pulley from a barn hay bale lift. (working antique I call it)

Works great. I used it to get shingles onto my roof. The wife got to operate the truck and winch. She actually got fairly good at it! Beats the hell out of the ladder routine. I think the heaviest I lifted was about 300 pounds.

* I took the cable off the drum and used a rope, as the steel cable wouldn't track through the pulley very well unless well loaded.
