i had a 318 in a 83 4x4 it had a factory 4 barrel if you could locate one in a salvage yard i got an average mpg of 20 if you could stay out of it hard to do when your 20 it had a thermoquad with 1" primmary and 2 1/4 secondary nice power when you wanted it
