You should not feel play. Pins and Bushings should be a nice fit.
Play in shackles and pins 'could' be dangerous. You have no idea how much the pins are worn. Play can all directly influence handling of the vehicle.
If you have play you can see or feel, you need to open it up and find out whats wrong.
