M37 slave cable questions

Morning all,
Anyone know the correct lengths of the slave cables? I have read the TM about the installation, it tells me where to attach the ground, and to run the hot lead through the clip at the dimmer switch, but it stops there. I know it goes to the starter, but by what route. It looks like it would go up and over the peddles but thats just a guess. Are there any other straps used to hold it in place?
