I worked for a large Chemical company and the main reason we can not compete with what you and David say about furniture is the same in the Chemical and drug companies, its called EPA,FDA,DOT,IDEM,INDOT,OSHA, etc. etc. you get my drift! The people of this country demand to have all this regulation that Washington has enacted that we can not compete. You would not believe the paper work we had to complete just to do a small task in making drugs for humane consumption, it would boggle your mind! that is the main reason I went ahead and retired. If we could just do the work on anything and not have to worry about being held back by the what I call "Soccer Mom's" in this country no one could match us. Don't get me wrong we need to be safe but after working for a drug company for 29 years and seeing all the useless paper work and rules it is a wonder anything gets done other than lunch break!
