It's the strangest thing. I have a good friend, who is an artist. For many years, even when the economy was doing well, lived a near hand to mouth existence.
Now, he is doing better in this lousy economy than he has ever done in his life. Not only is business so good, he has had to hire two people to assist him.
It seems that people who have money are no longer putting into homes or real-estate, but they are buying his frivolous "objects d'art"
as fast as he can make them.
What to make of it? I don't know, it defies explanation.
