the pope insisted they have their meeting on his personal gondola so that no one would overhear their conversation.
as they were paddled around venice, a gust of wind blew the pope's hat into the water.
sarah palin told the pope not to worry and she got up, walked across the water, retrieved the hat an put it back on the pontiff's head.
the next morning, the new york times reported that "sarah palin can't swim"
