Hi Mark,
I dont know anything about Denver hubs in particular, but I know when removing Superwinch hubs (and probably others as well) that the truck cant be in 4 wheel drive. I found that out once after fighting to get one off before figuring that out. Took it out of four wheel and the hub slipped right off.
