how bad is it? 230 experts

Replaced my distributor with a rebuilt unit. The old dodge ran great. On the second trip of the day she started sounding like diesel. Before i made it home it went to backfiring and would barley pull itself in first gear. Lot's of metal on the drain plug.

No oil pressure but the pump checks out okay. I am draining the oil pan now and will pop it off tomorrow.

53 dodge m37 with 230 motor and 583 gears
