Yesterday afternoon I set her down from the jack stands and fired her up for the first time in nearly two years. What started out to be a simple four-corner brake job turned into a complete rear end rebuild, forward to the Transfer case short output shaft. And, a two-corner front end rebuild without doing the differential. After all this time, the fuel lines were dry from the tank to the carb. I used the old reverse vacuum cleaner trick and quickly filled the pump and strainers. A few false starts and then that shaky, but familiar sewing machine idle. Gotta do a tune up and oil change. I put her in reverse, backed down the driveway, stopped, put her in first, drove forward to the pad, put her in reverse, backed down the driveway again. Put her in first and drove to where she sits now, Her usual parking spot. I'll change out the head sometime in the near future when I'm home again. Then a basic interior, and unload and re-spool the winch. I need to get going on cleaning up the property. That's why I bought her
