Software upgrades are double edged sword...

If we didn't make changes(upgrades) to software we'd obviously not even be here. I know, an extreme, but it serves to make a point.

The double edge is that if one does upgrade, one may experience bugs, loss/change of favored features, or similar. But if one does not upgrade, eventually it will not work if it needs to integrate and work with other software/hardware that has continued to change.

The base language of the web(HTML) continues to evolve. Other heavily used languages/platforms such as javascript and style sheets also evolve, and programmers build new features into software that rely on the latest versions of these to function properly in the user's chosen browser. Sometimes this functionality will not operate correctly if one's browser is too old.

That said, I'm using FF 3.6 right now.
