when changing out a starter, it is always a good idea to check all connections relating to the starting circuit and clean / replace whatever is questionable. we had a bunch of mid nineties chevies / gmc yukons. they all ate starters at about 150k. there were 2 problems. 1 the solenoid got cooked by the manifolds & 2 the ground strap was located directly under the air conditioning condenser on the frame. our rebuilder provided rebuilt starters with remote solenoids and we moved the ground strap to a dry area on the frame. 200k is a good amount of time on a starter.
