I spoke to the daughter of the owner of the '51, and then the owner. He bought the truck in 2005, off this forum, for $8000. He spent the last few years rebuilding it - frame off, powder coating, new box, new bed, paint, etc etc. and $7000 of receipts. He had all the answers - I think the truck exists. I offered to but it, and they said the first one with the money gets it. They claimed 14 people had called in the first hour, and I believe it. I tried to complete a deal, but after answering my first couple calls, they would not answer. Finally the daughter called back and claimed a man from Ohio was buying it. I asked his name, and though "he had called a lot of times", she couldn't remember his name. The man who owns it said he needed it out of the garage - he's a doctor - maybe he needed a write off? I don't think they knew the interest in them, and I don't think they sold it. If they did, as Joe said, it was the buy of the century. It would probably pull $18 to $20 k, in this economy. Matt
