I had a '68 D100 once that had an orange slant in it. That was the original color as I found out the couple I bought it from were related to a former coworker that bought it new. It also only had 31,600 miles on it. However the earlier ones were yellow and that is more than likely correct for yours. I vividly remember my uncles new '63 was yellow and I have seen many others. The orange '68 was the only one I've ever seen that color. I have seen red and blue but I don't recall how new those were. Definitely not the earlier ones.
