I'm with Paul also. I buy gas and diesel twice a year. I have the supply tanks filled in Nov. when No 1 diesel becomes available and then top them off in April to get the No 2 back in service. The tanks never go empty, so a percentage of the gas or diesel could be quite old.

I have 18 tractors and 15 trucks currently running. Some will see over 500 hours a year, some will only see a couple hours. I have used only ethanol gas since it was first available in the 80's and yes, when the change is made you are going to have trouble, but once the ethanol has cleaned out all the old crap in the fuel system, I have way less trouble than I years ago with so called good plain gas.

Where you buy your gas makes a big difference, stay away from the "stop and robs" and find yourself a good farm supply outfit that does bulk deliveries, when you have customers that buy 10,000 gallons at pop, you tend to make sure you have a good product. There is a difference.
