I depends on how old. I have run many gallons of old gas out of specialty autos that sit around too much and ran it in my WCs. mixed with fresh. flathead are designed to run on70 octane fuel so it wil burn it no problem. I would never try it in any overhead valve engine, and I think it depends on which part of the country you live in as to whether it will work well even in a flathead. Out here in WA most the fuel is 10% alcohol so mooisture is not a big problem.
