Need some advice on PS conversion

I finally finished building my frame mount to put power steering on my 41 1/2 ton chassis. Stared at pictures of Ray's mount and read up on how to do it in Phil's archives. What I'm trying to figure out now is where do i cut the outer steering column and how do you install/retain a lower bushing? I read Paul in NY's article on his horn commutator, so I'm guessing the column gets cut at about the firewall. thanks in advance.
