i find emptying out the tank and putting in new fresh gas is often enough. change any inline filters after removing the bad gas and install new before installing new gas. the new gas is problematic. i have a renued gas tank and only keep it 1/4 full. i top it up with fresh gas. better to have a little bad gas that can be perked up with new, than a full tank of garbage.
