The coils were broken in a couple of places and being that I'm restoring the truck, I would like to find good coil springs as opposed to repairing them. I have replacement coils that are similar, but they are not terminated that same way as the originals. The originals are wrapped around the previous turn as opposed to the replacement coils, which have the sharp end exposed. I'm afraid the sharp end will poke through the batting and tear the cover. I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done to solve that problem, as they are hardened steel and can't be easily wrapped around the lower turn.
