a truck is work 5k if it is worth it to you. some guys will buy a complete but non running western truck for triple that as body work and rust repair done right costs a ton. the driveline is easily worked on and parts are plentiful.

if i were buying a ffpw, it would be getting a complete new disc brake system, so brakes would be a non issue. i would go through the entire driveline, so that is not a issue. i would rather use a repro bed, tailgate, fenders, and bed wood, so no bed would be a cost saver for me. basically, i would want a truck with rust free front end and cab and a frame that was in good shape. a complete winch and winch driveline is a plus and saves money if bought with the truck instead as an after purchase. rear shocks and a salvageable fuel tank would be nice too.

IF, you could find a rust free running and ready to roll power wagon, it should bring much more than 5k.
