...OK, this is not as simple as it seems, or is it?
4 Banger M38, ran fine. Moved it into the shop and it died acting like it was choked.

It would not start but cranked freely, had fuel and spark, would not start even with ether.
Timing is correct (it was running fine) distributor pointing to #1 when at TDC. Spark at all 4 cylinders. Spark at points. Rotor and cap good, changed points, changed cap, change rotor.
Still no fire in the cylinder.
Here is were it gets weird, taking the distributor cap off to crank and check point allows the coil wire to fire randomly in the cap and it will ignite an occasional cylinder. Cranks like a son of a gun, but occasionally there is no spark at points until the key is turned off then it sparks like crazy.
by passed ignition, no change.
Replace coil, no change.
Changed plugs, no change.
Changed points, no change.
Changed cap and rotor, no change.
It has fuel, no change. (even with ether)
It's not flooded, the choke is not stuck, the fuel system is OK.
Timing is good (hell it would still fire and pop at 180 degrees off!)
Running out of ideas and patience!!!!
Also checked for kill switch, and by-passed everything, still no start... = (
