Right on, Dana. The best buys are long gone, in my opinion. Fewer complete old running, driving trucks that don't need a ton of work are still out there. If you could find a truck like the legendary "Wilbur" or one of Clint's trucks, you would be money ahead to pay high dollars for it. By the time you do brakes, wiring, fuel tank and radiator recondition, new glass and channels, seat cover, tires, you have a load of money tied up and the body and paint still aren't done. But I believe all that are left are the ones that need a lot of work/parts.
It's still a great way to spend your spare time. JH
