!/2t open cab, we called it the 'turnip truck'.

Crossing a strem at an angle, the frame twisted extremely. Which put a bind on the clutch pedal where it passed through the floor. So cltuch stuck down. No prob, I simply pulled it up with my boot toe. Which made the truck lurch forward, releaseing he bound clutch, with a jerk, which stalled the truck. Truck rolls back into the bind. Start pedal is also bound, no amount of stomping will get it to engage. So, nothing else to do but get out with the and crank, standing in the water, and give here a pull-start. Back behind the wheel, lift the clutch with my toe, stall, back into the water with the crank,... Until the last time I reached down with my hand to gently ease the clutch pedal up, and drive out.

AAand have you ever had to push a Power Wagon UP HILL far enough to bump start it on it's way back down? By yourself? Always carry a 6x6 block, so you can get the truck rocking against the block, big rock, almost enough to come over the block, then when the truck bounces back up the hill six inches, kick the block under the tire and start all over again.

And that is why I always carry a crank. I wish my daily driver had the capability.
