That is right. You don't want to use a snatch block that was designed for 3/8" cable with the 7/16" cable from your Braden winch. However, if the snatch block was designed to accept 5/8" cable, it will still work with 7/16". When you get up around 3/4" or 1" and it might tend to try to flatten out the 7/16" cable though.
With that said, I have not seen a 6" or larger diameter sheeve snatch block that would not accept at least 7/16" cable. This includes those I have found that I am fairly certain were not deliverd with Power-Wagons.
