Horizontal oval for cables, or vertical for wires?

Isn't there a vertical oval, about 1 1/4" by two inches, for wires? I'll go look... Not on my 1t FFPW, so maybe they are on 3/4t WCs from WWII?

Tim's horizontal slot is in the center of the cab, my vertical oval is wa-a-ay on the drivers side.
