Manny, the 25,000 mile figure sounds about right for the engine with the type of work history these trucks have. I remember when I was a youngster my pop would get about 60,000 max before being due for a overhaul. he was not hard on his cars, thats just the way it was at that time. now, I think the motors would last longer due mainly to the much better oils, and cleaner fuels. when I got my truck it had 33,000 miles on it and had a plymouth motor in it! so I tend to agree with your numbers depending on the driver and maintence on the truck.
