i know others will disagree, but it appears that the flatheads need to be rebuilt at about 25k in regular use and 8-10k in hobby / sit use. the dodges i have had experience with developed dead cylinders / worn engine symptoms early in their mileage life. command car had 8k miles - no winch & my m37 had 7500 miles on it. the command was frozen and the m had a dead cylinder - both engines appeared orig. i would like to have one pro built and balanced to see how long it would go, but it is so much cheaper to put in a nicely prepped truck 318 - poly, hemi - your choice and go. i am trying very hard to leave well enough alone in the command.....
