David. You are right about the cable. I've broken 3/8" cable and it acts like a whip. I always weight it down by draping something heavy over it, a length of chain, even a couple of heavy jackets, somewhere in the middle. On the other hand, I'd much rather replace a link in a chain than have to replace the cable. Sort of like a shear pin. It always seems like the cable wants to break somewhere in the middle. But this could get like the hoopla over the price of Glen's fenders. Every one has their own opinion. And some of the MU2s are 8000, some are 10,000. JH
