My old bachelor uncle came home one day to find an old healer dog sitting at his front door. He tried to shoo it away but it wouldn't leave. He finally gave up and fed it. He called the animal shelters, put up signs, put an ad in the paper but never heard from anyone. It wasn't long before he realized the dog was stone deaf. It followed him everywhere. He finally accepted it, took it to the vet. Got all the shots. The vet said he had no idea what had caused the deafness but figured that was the reason someone dumped it. The dog has turned out to be a great dog for him. It follows his hand signals just like sign language. He took it in to have it licensed. The clerk asked him what it's name was. My uncle said, he ain't got no name. THe clerk said, he has to have a name. Uncle says, what's he need a name for he can't hear it?
