I don't know if the front of the Scout T19 is the the same as the Ford. I have heard of people putting Dana 18s in Scouts so they could use the Warn overdrive. Minor modification is required. I've wondered if there is any significant drawback to using the Dana 18 with it's offset rear output?

I assume the Scout axles are converted from spring under to spring-over for the Willys?
Both my Diesel Scouts have 3.73 gears. You can find Scout axles with 3.08 gears or swap ring and pinions for 2.73 gears.

In my onroad driving experience, 2.73 gears and no overdrive (automatic) work great with the 4bt. Of course, with a manual, more gears are better, and a governor spring can give you a few more RPMs between poorly spaced gears.
