When re-installing the shoes, be careful that you don't lever them over too much ( on the top), and cause the wheel cylinder piston to be pushed too far into the cylinder, which cause a MASSIVE leak.
IE After the top of one shoe is installed, you pull the second shoe into position, but since they're connected by the spring, the first shoe gets pulled in towards the wheel cylinder( too far in, which pops the piston into the middle of the wheel cylinder)
Ask me how I found this out ?
