how much for a rebuilt head from a place like jasper's? seems like the oldie mechanics are going out of business because of age and the hard reality that their bottom dollar pricing doesn't cut it anymore. i have a ww2 mechanic / i consider a friend that does odd jobs for me. we fight about money every time we do business. i want to pay him more than he wants to charge. 1 because it is not fair to him and 2 his work is better than any other shop at book rates....
