I agree.
I am thankful to all of the suppliers, reproductions, and innovators. If someone asks a price and I think it's too high, I pass. Those that have invested in this hobby should get a fair return on their investments.
I did a lot of work on my powerwagon, but spent 5 times what I paid for the truck to have all of the dents repaired. Then I had it painted the color my oldest daughter liked, based on a 1956 Ford seafoam green.
If you offered me a million dollars for it I would say it's not enough; it's going to my kids one day.
I gave away a lot of parts that I no longer needed, and sold some too. If someone thought I was asking too much, they were welcome to look elsewhere....
