Having cut holes and cored holes in a lot of concrete walls, I would suggest that you hire a reputable concrete cutting company to do the work. The small chipping hammers and demo saws will take forever. Electric jack hammers are two heavy. For $500 bucks it will cost about the same as the other methods and save yourself some time. The only real issue is getting cut out block out of the basement. Concrete weighs about 4,000 lbs per cubic yard.
