i'm in the trucking biz. contrary to popular belief, mexican trucks successfully entering the US are safer than domestic trucks. the border crossings, dot and state and local guys make sure the mexican rigs are in compliance. my dodge and most other crossing the border were shipped by rail from mexico to seattle washington and then was shuttled to the idaho dealer that i bought it from. no trucking mafia there. railroad mafia? don't know.
