the reality is that the truck wont sell for that money unless there is a guy out there with more money than time. guys approaching their 60s who put 80k in apple 10 years ago wouldn't blink an eye paying 69k for a go to the market power wagon. those same guys pay 300k for muscle cars that I am too young to appreciate or understand. guys buying 57 chevy convertibles for 100k give me pause.
if you don't believe in the possibility of high dollar transactions in old iron, check with the guys remaking the fj40s, or the guys remaking the land rover defenders. both trucks go for over 100k done properly and they don't IMO compare to the high quality restorations seen here from time to time. if i had 69k kicking around for a power wagon, i'd have a crew cab built my way by charles talbert. it wouldn't be orig, but i wouldn't think twice about it considering that my 60k megacab will only be with me for about 5 years and then on to the next depreciation mobile.
