he extended the frame forward, so does the hood fit, looks like he did extend it which means you need a longer hood.
hope he did not abandon it due to problems with getting everything to fit, however problem something that can be solved with the help of the folks on this forum
At one point in time I had a 5.9 sitting in my 63 and had it worked out to moving the grill even further out and make a custom radiator and tank and try to use the original position of the radiator sheet metal and the stock hood. However I had to sell the engine due to financial problems and never got to finish.
