power steering conversion ona 77M880?

has anyone done a conversion from manual to power? I have looked at many late 70's w200s
with power steering. first the shaft coming from the colume connects at the top mine connects near the box. second the pitman arm on mine is on the side facing you as you look a the box thruogh the drivers side wheelwell. instead of pointing downward toward the ground as does the power set up ive seen, do i need to take the whole colume,shaft, box, etc?
