I did the same swap on my '73 w/4-speed tranny. Auto is easier. Using an LA360, almost everything will swap just fine. The most important thing to know is that an LA318 is internally balanced and an LA360 is externally balanced. You must use the 360 flex plate and harmonic balancer for the engine to remain balanced properly. One of the motor mounts (the steel piece, not the rubber isolator) was a little different. I want to think it was the passenger side but it has just been too many years for me to be sure. A good parts man (person) can look that up for you. Tranny will bolt up just fine. Water pump, etc. will work fine too. 318 and 360 oil pans are different. You will need a 360 truck oil pan to do the job right. The 318 oil pickup tube and strainer for the truck oil pan will work fine in the 360. This swap is well worth the time and money. You'll love the extra HP and torque.
