It's a nice setup to allow getting higher speeds out of the 230. But it does zip, zilch, zero, nada for the transfer case speed. The only way to slow the transfer case RPM down is to go to larger tires, go to 4.89's or 4.30's, or put an overdrive on the output of the transfer case to the rear axle for OD in 2WD. The OD must be able to withstand the torque put out in 1st/Low. And it needs to be compact and must mate directly to the transfer case.
