Hi Guys,

In response to several questions about importing these WM300's. I know it can be done and I have the address of a guy who just imported two. You will probably just about double your purchase cost in Denmark by the time the vehicle gets to your door step. Once you get it to a port in the USA you have to have import papers certifying ownership and it has to be prior to polution stuff on a vehicle. I believe 67 is the last year you can do that. That's why some of the really super series II Land Rover 109's can be had and they are super trucks cause I had one.

Yes VPW does get a hair raising price for their trucks, but keep in mind that they flew to Europe and cherry picked the best ones. According to my sources that checked the WM300's out at VPW, mine was the second pick. And yes the sheet metal and such is as good as it looks in the picture. No serious rust that I can find just layers of OD military paint.

These old ladies are very cold natured and start hard in cold weather. You just need to find the sweet spot on the choke where they are used to starting. Don't keep using starting aerosol fluid- this acts like crack cocaine and they won't start with out it.

Also VPW backs their trucks. Both of my front wheel cylinders started leaking with in a week and true to their word they sent me two new ones to replace them immediately.

The cabs are cherry inside. Just minor surface rust here and there. My head liner is like new. No interior light because of military blackout reasons. However notice the really nifty blackout running lights on the front. Also the super heavy duty military brush guard. Again as to brakes, if you are used to the krappy normal WM300 brakes be prepared. These will through you through the windshield.

The frame had 1/4 inch steel welded to both the top and bottom of the whole length of the frame. I don't think you can ever overload it.

I got the truck without the bed on purpose because I would like to get the regular 3rd series flat top, 3 stake, stepside bed to put back on. (If you know where one is for sale please contact me ASAP at or call (256) 520-4000.)

You might want to hurry and paint the truck because the camo paint scheme grows on you and you will never need anything but a spray can for touch up. Any other questions please feel free to contact me at any time. If you are reasonably close you might want to go to the mid south power wagon rally we hope to hold around Birmingham, Alabama in April...
