Did you change engine size or just put a used 440 in to replace an wore out 440? if you can
put all the old smog parts back on (hope you saved em)and take to smog station (NOT a "test only ", they won't tell you what is wrong, only that it won't pass) for a "pre test". a good guy will want to help you pass-he'll tell you what to fix.Talk to a couple smog guys about the truck, find a helpful fella. I think the new test on the dynomometer actualy helps cars run cleaner- under a load they run hotter. A new cat will help lots, if the truck has one. You might lose less by bringing into compliance than be selling it cheap. good luck.
