Big ol' storm up here. Ain't seen one like it in years. Got stuck in my 61' W200. Locked the hubs and it was like there was no snow in the way. I understand some of you have had/used 4x4's since probably before I was born 11/03/71. This is my first 4x4. I remeber NOT wanting to get a 4x4 when I started looking for a 60's Dodge Crew Cab.I thought 4x4's required a lot more upkeep than a 2 wheel drive. When I got the opportunity to buy a 61' Dodge Crew Cab I wasn't gonna fuss over the fact that it was a 4x4. I thought I would just suffer through it. Now about a year later I can't imagine NOT having a 4x4! Also sitting up high is NICE!!! Less oncoming headlight glare, better traffic visibility, the fact in Maine they won't let you do anymore than a 3" lift unless it's stock. That 5" lift I got is some nice. I wonder if I can go any bigger than 17.5" rims and if I should. Weren't factory 17.5" and/or 19" on 61' 200's? Anyways 4x4 is kinda like standard shifting: it's AUTOMATICALLY what I want over the alternative!!
