Thomas,

I robbed a pair of upper and lower rear shock mounting brackets off of a 47WDX and installed on my 49B1PW. The shocks appear to be the same as in the front. It's going to take a can or two of WD40 or Liquid Wrench and a long cheater bar plus probably the judicious application of heat to break the nuts loose on the U-bolts. You'll need to swap out the U-bolts as well as they are longer because the brackets are thicker for the lower shock mounts. There is a very strong possibility the bottoms of the U-bolts will be deformed from hitting rocks or stumps. You'll almost be better off having new ones made if not available from some of our parts sources. It was an option, and I also believe they didn't contribute much in the way of improving the ride. But what the heck, if you can find them, you might as well have some creature comforts. Don't forget to install that armrest too! Have a Happy New Year, and remember if you must drive on New Years eve, you're much safer in your Power Wagon, although I'm not too sure about the other guy!!!!
